3" Indian Floral Handpainted Ornament

The Indian Floral Ornament is a papier-mâché bauble handpainted in a traditional Kashmiri floral motif, with intricate multi-coloured detailing across the surface. Light enough to hang alongside heavier ornaments on a collected, considered tree.

Made from recycled paper, non-fragile, and safe for homes with pets and children.

Handpainted in Srinagar, Kashmir, in a centuries-old craft known locally as Kar-i-Kalamdani or Naqashi. The craft was brought from Persia in the 14th century, and the Kashmir Valley has remained the renowned centre of handpainted papier-mâché ever since.
