Margaret Dish

$16

With its double row of long petals and perfectly rounded, stamen dotted center, the Margaret dishes are sculpted to resemble the beloved daisy flower.

A brilliant gloss glaze heightens the dish's multi-dimensional detailing and draws your eye to the center of the piece.

The Margaret's cheery silhouette and palm-sized shape make it the ideal dish for holding finger food such as olives and nuts, squares of chocolate alongside a glass of wine, or a sugar cube, teabag, or lemon slice beside a cup of tea.

A NOTE ON HANDMADE:

Due to kiln firing and the nature of clay and hand-glazed pieces, subtle variations may occur from item to item. The occasional glaze drip on the bottom of the piece are not considered a defect but a true testament to each piece's handcrafted nature and the natural characteristics of pottery. With that said, your joy when receiving any piece from our store is our highest priority. If you would like to see a photo of the exact ceramic item(s) we have in stock, simply reach out to us using the "Chat with us" box located near the bottom right corner of your screen, and we will be happy to assist you.

Since 1950, the artisans of Marumitsu have been creating heirloom-worthy ceramics in Seto, Aichi, Japan's pottery capital.
Here, the oldest kilns in the country continue to burn, keeping alive ancient traditions & sharing the wonders of Japanese ceramics with a new generation of collectors.

Marumitsu's breathtaking creations are known for their nature-inspired silhouettes and nuanced French style.

The thoughtful approach of Marumitsu is made evident in their belief that "meals are delightful." Each piece is created with a deeply intentional perspective to be both aesthetically beautiful and exceptionally functional for daily use.

Incorporating the best of time-honored and modern techniques, master artisans skillfully form Marumitu Poterie's signature pieces from natural clays harvested throughout the surrounding hillsides of Seto.

Marumitsu's connection to the people and natural resources that create every piece can be felt and seen in each carefully crafted, subtlely unique work of art.
