In their words:

We started our company to preserve traditional Moroccan craftsmanship and share its beauty with the world.

Our products are handmade from leather, straw and wool using traditional Moroccan techniques. All ethically crafted by our team of skilled artisans in our own workshop. Because they’re handmade, each piece is unique.

We are committed to providing fair wages, secure employment and a safe working environment for our artisans. All our suppliers practice sustainable methods, ensuring the high quality of our goods.

Their Story:

A native of Morocco, Samir moved to Canada in 2011 and started his company in 2017. Today, it's now a thriving family business with a workshop back home in Rabat that employs twenty local artisans.

Sustainability:

Each piece is created using premium vegetable tanned leather only. No harsh chemicals are used in the process, which reduces water pollution. Their textiles are made with sheep’s wool and cotton that is coloured with natural, toxin-free dyes. The palm leaf straw that is used for their baskets is 100% natural. Palm straw is a rapidly renewable & bio-degradable natural resource that is also durable & long lasting.

Ethics:

This company practices fair trade production & employs artisans directly at their own factory. This ensure that everyone receives proper training, appropriate time off, fair wages, safe working conditions and are treated with the utmost respect.
