As the light meets you, coats and covers you, finds its way into your eyes, your nose, your ears and your skin, you may need to raise an arm and squint toward the light. It may hurt for a while. Even a wound that's closed remembers for how long it ached.
Be gentle with yourself, go slowly. Remember that healing can be painful, too. It doesn't mean you're doing it wrong. You're doing the sacred work of reassembling the shards of your life; there is bound to be a few cuts along the way. Keep moving, inch deeper into the light. trust this process of loving yourself every broken piece of the way."
