Le Bouquet Cup with Saucer

$38.63

A piece of art and a drinking vessel; to sip from the Bauquet Cup is to partake in a moment of experiential beauty.

When paired with the teacups' sculpted design, the saucer's delicate upturned edges and raised pedestal base create the impression that the two pieces are the conjoined layers of a blossoming flower, gently unfurling its petals to expose the bloom's liquid center.

When filled with your drink of choice, the effect becomes heightened, as any beverage held inside the teacup becomes a part of the flower itself, adding another layer of dimension and color.

The Le Bouquet's delicate handle decoration and soft color palette of pale green, light pink, or creamy white is a nod to antique porcelain work of a bygone era, expertly reimagined to include a more generous saucer size and whimsical shape.

Skilled porcelain artisans create this unique set in Seto City, Japan, where the well-defined shape is formed by carefully carving a plaster mold into the silhouette of a plump flower, which requires a high level of craftsmanship.

A NOTE ON HANDMADE:

Due to kiln firing and the nature of clay and hand-glazed pieces, subtle variations may occur from item to item. Small color differences or the occasional glaze drip on the bottom of the piece are not considered a defect but a true testament to each piece's handcrafted nature and the natural characteristics of pottery. With that said, your joy when receiving any piece from our store is our highest priority. If you would like to see a photo of the exact ceramic item(s) we have in stock, simply reach out to us using the "Chat with us" box located near the bottom right corner of your screen, and we will be happy to assist you.
